Wedding. Straits Chinese Style. Wedding Night - Part 3

After the dance, everyone was settled down to rest their dancing muscles which has been suppressed for god knows how many years to hear a rather funny speech by the groom's parents aka my dad...

Dad said: Your wife's best friend is not u... its ur credit card!

And of course there was the cutting of yet another cake..

and FYI, the cake at the bottom is real! lol

After lots of dancing, and lots of wine and lotsa whatever you get in wedding,

I would say the best thing in the wedding I saw was the smile of my brother. Finally finding someone he truly loves and which he would want to spend the rest of his life with.

or so we think..... JK~

Congratulation brother!

Next in line would be my cheche, Jade (translation: big sister!)!

Wedding. Straits Chinese Style. Wedding Night - Part 2

As everyone gets ready ant the guest were all ushered in, all were busy chit chatting and awaiting for the arrival of the bride and groom.

What better way to do it than to do a Bridal March right? A custom Strait Chinese march for wedding occasions..

And the march ended up by a traditional bow by the bride and groom to show their appreciation towards the guests that came

Everything started off well and when the music started playing...

Everyone started dancing!! :p

And hey, my cousin didn't waste much time to pick up some chicks in the wedding!!

Wedding. Straits Chinese Style. - Wedding Morning Day - Part 4

Here we reach the final part of the wedding morning, the tea ceremony!~

Like what the chinese always do,

The bride and groom serve tea to the elders to pay respect while the young ones does the opposite; serves tea to the bride and groom to pay their own respect~ :)

My sister &...

.... I giving out tea

My cousin, Julia & ...

Netnet giving out tea to the bride and groom

And once the tea was drank, it was...

WELCOME SARINA LEE TO THE ONG FAMILY!

or can I say,

To jacjac's crazy antics and life!! :p

Wedding. Straits Chinese Style. - Wedding Morning Day - Part 3

After all the traditional stuff, it was to the western side of view of wedding, the cake cutting ceremony!!

DAMN BIG!!
However, nothing looks like..

.....what it seems
lol

Cut cut cut...

Eat eat eat...

Pose pose pose...

And of course, who can ever forget the flower-throwing ceremony?

Throw throw throw
Ok i look like I'm in techno trance.. *please dont stop the music...music...music...*
And the flower was thrown....

Okay, everyone close ur eyes.. pretend never happen... throw again :p

Jade : Ryan (sis's fiancee)!!! you're stuck wif me..forrreevverrrrr!! nyek nyek nyek~!

Wedding. Straits Chinese Style. - Wedding Morning Day - Part 2

Everyone cheered when the bride and groom came~~
(Except me, my sister and my parents which told us that tradition forbid us to look at the entering bride and groom because it was bad luck.. sob sob)

And it was back to tradition stuffs..

There was the respect to be given by the 'guardians' of the house (depending on your religion, in my case would be Heaven God, Ground God and Kuan Yin)..

The candle suddenly burst out of flames

Don't think that their marriage are going down in flames but.. it was actually a good sign according to elders that the Heavens are smiling upon their marriage...

And please to those who are getting married, REMEMBER!

To roll a boy over the bed you sleep in :p
To you know.. make sure you get a son!! :D
Again.. tradition bay-beh..tradition~~

Wedding. Straits Chinese Style. - Wedding Morning Day - Part 1

I'm still figuring what a long title this is.. but when you have exactly 20 GB of pictures and videos.. you gotta mark them down correctly right?

So anyway, its the WEDDING DAY!

Or perhaps the occasional 'zit' day... wonder why does zit always come up on a person's special day?
The solution: Concealer bay beh... concealer..

At the groom side.. everyone's busy preparing for their responsibilities

And soon later, my bro's heng tai's came over (its like a best man but a bunch of them!) and they discuss over their strategies to win over the battles of the chi muis (its the bride's bunch of girlfriends trying to protect the bride from entering marriage where there's no turning back.. if you were wondering..yeah.. chi muis are all in traiditioned to be picked with a single status.. lol).

Ok you, attract that chi mui with your smile.. and you, flirt with the other want!!

With a little hug from me, the ever great sistah...

And with..

All strategies in hand, they're ready to go!!!

Upon arrival, there were no flirts, no tackling.... instead..

My bro ended up..

Singing instead!!
"Rasa Sayang eh! Rasa Sayang Sayang Eh!
Eh Lihat Nona Jauh, Rasa Sayang Sayang Eh!"

After serenading the poor audience with their 'melodic' tune...

It was time to propose!! :p

And steal the bride away befre the chi muis come out with any more pranks!
