Anyway the second day of CNY was alright but it was super awesome when we had our annual...
Here's how it went....
Here's the whole family preparing the BBQ stuffs
Mr. Ryan Phang
MmmmmmMMMmmm......
Mr. & Ms Ong Ong
Their food were....
Actually quite nice.. despite looking all burned ok..
And famous food critique.. Ms. Jacjac
And by night fall,
More things got bbq-ed,
There was of course a funny ting that happen during that day.. my baby cousin Megan was screaming at her mom while everyone was eating "I WANT TO PEE MOM... I WANT TO PEE!!!" *jac totally put off in drinking her Chrysanthemum Tea* and her mom said "Ok ok" and took her hand and walked her into the house to the toilet.
But on the way, my brother was busy killing the crabs before bbq-ing them and she suddenly stopped, shaked off her mom's hand and stood by my brother to see him kill the crabs.
My aunt then told Megan "Hey, let's go to the toilet dear".. Megan turned at her and said "Who said I wanted to go to the toilet?" and squatted down to see my brother kill the crabs! lol.. Talking about old people losing their memory huh! :p
And of course, how can we ever forget our Yee Sang?
( Chinese-style raw fish salad)
YeeSang is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor
Or at least that was what Wikipedia said... lol :p
Today, this dish is served as an appetizer to raise 'good luck' for the new year and is usually eaten during Chinese New Year (preferably the seventh day).
In this celebration, families and friends gather around the table and,
On cue, proceed to toss the shredded ingredients into the air with chopsticks while shouting out their wishes (i.e: good luck!! money money come!! etc) out loud to mark the start of our prosperous new year.
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
this is for the next year ok... just incase i blog any later than new year again!! haha :p
