If people told you Melaka was 'not happening'.. think again!
This entry is dedicated to Melaka- tourists and lovers..
Jom.. Cuti-cuti Melaka!!~~
Well, it first started off with Siangee, Stephanie and me..
We were walking around the streets of Melaka city.. And I was giving her a tour of everything I could possible set eyes on..
It amazes me that Melaka City has still those 'olden-time' shops..
As in..
I've never seen tailor shops like this for a very very long time...
After loitering around Melaka City, Siang ee drove to the other side of Melaka.. Bunga Raya..
When suddenly we bumped into...
Well, we took them for a tour too!
It was fun being a tourguide nonetheless.. :)
It amazes me how much I can remember about my lovely state Melaka!
*bangga*
So, the next stop was..
Me and Siang ee were talking to each other in Chinese (for me, it would be broken Chinese + Malay).. We were discussing..
Jacyln: Eh.. this building is Portugese right?
Siangee: No lah.. British lah..
Jacyln: Sure not.. Waitt.. i think this one from Holland lah!!!
And while we were discussing where this red building came from so that we can start our tour..
Stephanie parents were;
Stephanie parents: Omg.. you friends are so smart in history
Sadly, if they knew what we were discussing back then.. We were not really that smart as they think! haha :p
And before I forget to introduce the family of Steph's (if you get confused why they are so many people..)
Stephanie's Aunt, Stephanie's Uncle, Stephanie dad, Stephanie, Stephanie mom, Siang Ee and Me :)
After the red building (rest assured, nothing to see but a red building),
We went to ..
And this building.. I know from where.. It's from the invasion of Portugese people!
And for tourists who visited A Famosa.. Never ever forget to climb up the hill, k!
The climbing was trecherous, expecially for someone as lazy as me.. But when you reach the top.. the reward was..
:p just kidding!
Of course there would be a...
It was said to be a grave of some famous guy..
I still don't get why people threw coins in a grave though..
It was said to be lucky..
Then again, imagine if you were the dead guy.. he must be
Dead Guy: !@#$%^&*... stop with the money already! I can't get no sleep!!!
After the 'climb', we got down...
This temple was said to be the oldest temple in Melaka..
Close to 100 years old!
And still standing man!!
Jacyln : Yay yay.. I visit this temple~~
It's been a while since I visited this temple and for extra information, my grandfather's tablet is here..
So, I left them alone do go pay my respects to my grandfather.. While they on the other hand..
Siang ee testing out his fortune..
And when the fortune was told..
Siang ee got a very good one.. while Stephanie's dad..
But heck, that didn;t keep anyone's spirit down to..
People around thought we were tourist..but when said we were locals..
they laughed..
They must be thinking we're a bunch of jakun people!
Found it rather cute ..
And I think Leonie would find it cute coz she lafu tigers!! XD
Picture dedicated to leoleo :p
Well, there are a lot possibilities why the design was made of the tiger.. Either it symbolizes the tiger itself ; strong, agresive, powerful OR they were worshipping the 'tiger god'. Right behind this temple, there was a spot dedicated to the tiger god :)
My aunt (aka mako) who once was with me, told me the story that my grandmother would always bring her to the Tiger God and then rub meat on the Tiger god statue while asking for protection :) Cool aye? Traditions rawks!

After the temple, we walked down to be stopped by..
aka..
FEET BOUND SHOES..
In Chinese tradition, feet bound shoes were used my Chinese women while they were infants.. and they need to wear is like FOREVER..
And yes, their legs would get deform, stop growing and would be the size of the little tiny shoes!
Chinese back then believed it was a form of beauty and of course, those who had those legs, couldn't run away from their husbands!
It was a sad thing to see pretty Chinese women to be bound by these shoes, but those who didn't bound their legs to those shoes, would not ever get married! :( Poor thing right?
Thanks god I wasn't born that time! *jac kisses her size 7 feets.. muak muak*
Our next and last destination would bee....
Lol..
I wouldn't talk so much about it because I blogged about it before (I went with my cousins from KL and UK)
And since I went there before and I was going again..
Look look! A free pass!
*bangga*
Anyway, my bad.. I should'nt be blocking what is behind me right? :p
See any handsome guys inside?
Lol..
So, here's a flash recap on what we did in Cheng Ho Museum alright! :)
1) Everyone was hungry so..
Then we went to the market to buy some spices..
Within minutes, we got our spices to 'cook'..

Siang ee: How about if I give you this price for that load of fake soya beans? :p
2) I'm so WU-MEN!!

But before he could think any further..
