I love my kongkong

It was Mid Febuary, days before my birthday that my grandfather reached his 100 days anniversary.

Basically, the Ong family was to be up by 7am. And as I got up, I could smell the fragrance of Maggie Mee - Vegetarian Flavour which was cooked by my cousin. Then after eating, we went to Jelutong to find my kong kong's graveyard and got lost (memang.. anak and cucu celaka)..

And as we finally found my grandfather's tomb (which i suggest the new generation to request a multi-coloured tomb to ease your children's pain when finding you in future), we unpacked the food and he monk came to give a prayer.

Everyone was holding a joss-stick and i was stuck between my aunt and my sister. As the monk chanted, I rest my eyes and suddenly tilted a bit to my aunt's side to be stung by a joss stick and I was stun and backed to my sister's side to be stung by another. Perhaps it was a sigh from my kong kong that I was a useless lazy cucu and he wanted me to stay awake :( .

So, what amazed me when the monk chanted was that a millipede came out from the tomb stone and started circulating the monk's feet! :) wasn't it awesome!

So we pretty much guess it was my kong kong. It was either the happy millipede or the squashed up ant my aunt saw while the monk was chanting and squashed it to bits, chuckling evilly. I guess I'll stick to the happier version. :)

As the chanting ended, we all said our thank you to the monk.

And before I went home, I glanced at my dear kong kong's tombstone.

I'll miss you kong kong for Chinese New Year. Not for the angpao this time.

But for you. :)

Love you always
